First Baptisms
Last Sunday afternoon was a time that will be remembered for a long while: 11 believers from the very poor village of Tha Kom took a stand for Jesus in the waters of baptism.
After 3 years of sharing the Gospel to adults and children, Maira de Lima (Bong paoun project coordinator) saw the fruits of her labour.
An international school in Phnom Penh graciously allowed us to use their swimming pool for the service.
Pou An, a new believer (among those getting baptized) led a few songs of worship then Miss Kim (volunteer at the Bong paoun project) shared from the bible. After hearing a word of testimonies from each adult, Maira and I baptized them in the Name of the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit.
Each one came out of the pool beaming with joy and was given a certificate.
Praise God for His work of Grace in the hearts of those dear people.
Each Sunday afternoon, the little group of believers meets in a house on stilts in the middle of the community, to pray and study God’s Word.
