I came back to Cambodia a few days ago.
The meetings in France and time with my parents, my brother and his family went SO well.
I spoke twice at the ‘ Shake the City’ week conference in Mulhouse, on the East side of France.
15 churches were involved in this week of teaching in the mornings and evangelism in the evenings. Over 4 nights, at a giant BBQ held in two public parks in town, 5000 hotdogs were given free ! At the same time on a big podium different Christian music groups proclaimed the Gospel.
The last night, the Spirit of God was so tangible as a French black gospel choir gave an unforgettable performance.
It’s good to be back in Phnom Penh. My house is still surrounded with water. Looking forward to the end of the rainy season !
This morning, at the International Khmer Rouge tribunal, the verdict fell for one of the 5 or 6 ex- Khmer Rouge leaders: Duch, former head of S-21 torture camp back in the 70s is sentenced to 35 years imprisonnement. A first since the fall of the communist regime over 3 decades ago.
Finally a painful chapter of Cambodian history is turning…
Many blessings,
Tim
